He-Man Movie Wraps Filming, First Looks at Trap Jaw, Moss Man Revealed

It seems that Amazon Studios and director Travis Knight have completed shooting the He-Man Masters of the Universe movie in the UK.

Multiple cast members, such as Camila Mendes (Teela), have been sharing on social media that filming has wrapped up. This announcement, along with hints about the characters they’re portraying (like Trap Jaw and Moss Man), suggests we might get a glimpse of other characters, potentially including Man-At-Arms.

The film titled “Masters of the Universe” is scheduled for a release on June 5, 2026. So far, only one sneak peek featuring Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man has been unveiled (as shown below). However, further details are scarce. The available set photos and videos at least give us an idea about the direction of the movie, which seems to be a blend of Earth and Eternia.

Camila Mendes shared on TikTok, reporting that filming for Masters of the Universe has concluded. In her own words, “There are no more ships to sail. That’s a wrap on Masters of the Universe!

Trap Jaw tease

Initially, we catch a glimpse of Trap Jaw, skillfully portrayed by Sam C. Wilson. In a recent post about wrapping up filming, he tagged Patt Foad – an Emmy-winning makeup artist and sculptor – who was also involved in creating the designs for The Last Of Us creatures.

Today I completed work on the film “Masters of the Universe”. I worked tirelessly to prepare for this role, aiming to contribute something distinctive while staying faithful to the original material. It’s been an incredible experience, said Wilson. A big thanks goes out to @barriegower and the BGFX team, @pattfoad, @mikebyrnefx, and everyone else who helped create Trap Jaw. The film titled “Masters of the Universe” is set to premiere on June 5, 2026, with Travis Knight as its director. The screenplay is penned by Chris Buttler, with an initial draft written by David Callaham, and further developments by Aaron and Adam Nee.

Who are the stars?

In this production, Nicholas Galitzine plays He-Man, while Camila Mendes takes on the role of Teela. Idris Elba portrays Man-At-Arms, Morena Baccarin is the Sorceress, and Johannes Haukur Johannesson acts as Fisto. Jon Xue Zhang, meanwhile, brings Ram-Man to life.

The plot

The storyline of Masters of the Universe, though unconfirmed, has been characterized in a way that aligns with all promotional materials and trailers available.

10-year-old Prince Adam, who arrived on Earth in a spaceship and lost his magical Power Sword – the only connection to his planet Eternia. Years later, he locates the sword and is transported back into space. There, he’s tasked with safeguarding his home world against the malevolent forces of Skeletor. However, to vanquish such a formidable adversary, Prince Adam must initially discover the secrets of his past and transform into He-Man: the mightiest being in the cosmos!
